Artists never retire
Updated: Feb 24, 2020
So, I am 2 weeks into my "gap year". I am taking a year out of exhibiting my work. Galloping arthritis in my hands is causing difficulties with brush management ..... basically I keep dropping the perishers.🙃
I am going to keep a record of my trials and experiments in alternative ways of creating. I am developing a list of starting points and I will post the good, the bad and the ugly.
One thing I would like to do is go back to some digital painting, something I played with many years ago and technology has certainly changed since then.
I would also like to try finger painting, painting with sponges, painting with palette knives, and also try some more poured paints. Not sure about Jackson Pollock style splatters - might be a bit of a risk in the spare bedroom! Some of my previous work has included collage and that could be another approach to follow up.
